It's true that I mumble all too often but in this case it was trembling in
fear for my Mac and flash equipment as there were violent thunderstorms
yesterday here. I couldn't type fast enough before shutting down!
One should be careful to ensure that before saving out to web in Photoshop
or ImageReady to convert the working space to sRGB. The save for web
function has no concern over your working space data so if you forget to
convert, well the image is now encoded with rgb values in the working space
of the original image. You can embed the profile in the image if you check
this in the save for web dialogue box but this is not recommended for
routine web images. I think it would be a nice feature to have an option to
automatically convert from the image profile to sRGB in the save for web box
in the suite of Adobe applications, especially with and because of the
wonderful SmartObjects in Golive 5. Can I go back to mumbling now?
