In case you don't have a copy of it, the ISO/DIS 12640 standard says:
Snip from ISO/DIS12640 << 3 Guidelines for distribution and sharing...
3.1 Neither the data, nor images printed from these data, shall be sold
except as defined in clause 3.2 below.
3.2 It shall be permitted to include the data corresponding to these images,
or derivations of these images, as part of test and evaluation packages to
be sold or provided free of charge where a copy of this International
Standard is included as part of the complete package.
3.3 Copies of these data files, or derivative files, may be exchanged
between participants in test and evaluation programs. The sponsoring
organization shall be capable of showing ownership of a copy of this
International Standard.
3.4 It shall be permitted to display these images as part of the report of
test programs, as long as the organization sponsoring the display is in
posession of a copy of the standard.>>
So, if you think you can show that your usage of the images is 'display' as
part of 'test and evaluation' programs or packages, then you may be ok. If
not, then you would need to include a copy of the standard, which costs
something like $164 (non-member price based on a 1997 NPES price list).
