I ran a ScanMate like 5 years ago but to tell you the truth, I don't
recall. I kind of doubt it since this was before Photoshop 5. It's possible.
As for the Nikon 4000, one is due to arrive this week. In the past, I'd say
somewhat true for their scanners. Nikon's software has been somewhat strange
in how it dealt with profiles. But I seem to recall that you could alter
prescan settings after specifying a source and destination profile.
