I'll bet you a Carlsberg (or two or three ... -:)) that the Epson pure ink tank yellow is different from the offset pure ink tank yellow. Compare the two profiles in PO4, and check the pure ink tank yellow. Or compare in ColorThink.

If there is an out of gamut issue, try solving it via the choice of RGB working space. Adobe RGB is so to speak made for inkjet proofing. It clips that part of the offset yellow gamut which inkjets typically don't support.

You can't have in offset CMYK what you did not first have in RGB. Therefore, you can't have in the proof what you did not first have in RGB.
