Its not just cheaper devices, even the expensive ones like DPT 92s are
subject to bright light as a low angle to the screen bouncing between the
coating on the monitor and effecting the results. A hood helps, as does
turning off all such lighting before profiling. But the usual result of such
a lightsource is a luminance reading out of range, not a color cast in the
profile...
