Jim rich recently suggested that we (Apple) ship a neutral gray
background with Mac OS X. I'd like to get your thoughts on this. Should
we do it? What's "neutral gray" mean to you? Etc.
It means I don't have to pack a background with me when I attempt to
convince co-workers, students, clients and my cat Stupid that turning
off the blazing orange swirlies does indeed help their perception of
color.
So it's a convenience. I use three including the Apple gray. (I call
them quarter, halftone, 3/4 tone, but in reality they are light to
simulate 18%, medium to simulate 50%, and dark simulates 70%).
