I read that TFT monitors can't be profiled with a DTP92. Why?
The DTP92 is tuned for CRT phosphors, not LCD dyes.

Its physically possible, the results just aren't optimal.

No the simple monitor calibration that ships with the SpectroCa m isn't up to
OptiCal standards, its more of a demo than a full working calibration
program. Other packages support the Spectrocam for monitor calibration. And
my guess is that OptiCal should support LCD calibration by the time there are
enough calibratable LCDs out there to worry about...

What should I do if I need to profile TFTs ?
Get a package that supports your SpectroCam, or get an EyeOne monitor only
package, if you need it immediately (though I'm not user the EyeOne will
actually be available immediately). Or wait for OptiCal and PhotoCal to offer
a more affordable alternative for LCDs.
