all-
from what i have read and, experienced, when you work with images coming
from all kinds of film, with different lighting situations, fast action
or stills, etc, you wind up with different issues when it comes to scanning.
right?
So, given my equipment:
Nikon LS-2000 scanner hooked up to a SuperMac clone. images get saved
to server, i view them on a g4, with apple colorsync monitor callibrated
with a spyder/optical, photoshop 5.5
and my situation:
bulk scanning of between 20-50 scans at a time, all different photographers,
different films, different lighting (i try to pick out all indoor, all
outdoor, all lowlight, etc)
what are my options for consistent color and quality?
i have differnt scanner setting for things like dark images, contrasty
images, images with a lot of white, etc. But, are there any options for
getting consistent color from these inconsistent batches of slides? There
is no way for me to know what kind of film it is, what speed it was shot
at, etc.
The idea here is to be able to scan large quantities of slides that need
no color correction. (stop laughing!!!) the color doent even have to
be perfect, just close, without any moderate or severe color casts.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
