Which to buy- LCD or CRT

I have a few questions that I hope someone can help
with.
1. For color accuracy which type of monitor is the
best to get, LCD or CRT? (Profiled of course)
2.How long is a LCD monitor accurate for color? How
often does it need to be calibrated?
3. Is there any difference between the 17in and 22in
Apple Cinema Displays other than size? and price.
4. If CRT is the way to go what is the best one? We
are currently using the Apple Studio Display
self-calibrating model.
5. The Spectrolino and Xrite DTP92 will profile either
type monitor, correct?

I will be needing three monitors to be used for remote
softproofing using ImagExpo.I will be simulating the
Kodak Approval on 60 lb. stock.
Thanks to all in advance.
