However: metamerism and color constancy are two different ball games and can
very well be distinguished. In short:
Metamerism follows from the 'flaws' of the tristimulus 'build' of our eyes.
Colour constancy is the result of what happens 'behind' the eyes when the
stimuli are interpreted.
