What if I try to create a null input profile, though? Say if I edit a target
capture so that the patches are all the same as the lab values of the target
data file, then feed this to the profile creation software. Would the
resulting profile would be "null", having the same effect as not specifying
a source profile, i.e., no conversion?
Hmmm, now I've got to try this & see what happens...
You could probably do that for a single lighting condition, but I
very much doubt that it would hold for more than a single shoot.
And:
If there isn't a way to load a camera profile, and the Sinar profile
is buried in their software, there's probably not much you can do
except complain to Sinar.
-- I hate to admit it (must be obvious by now!), but this may be the
ultimate, frustrating outcome.

Is the Sinar software the only thing that will open the camera files?
