I found a four page pdf on the HP site about these printers. They also had
press releases. The Heidelberg rip is a true Heidelberg rip according to
them. It should be ready in the first quarter 2002. I don't know if it takes
1 bit tiffs, but I would assume so. The other alternative to the built in
Amiable rip is Best Colorproof.
