This is surely a problem with the Nvidia drivers, version 2.3. After messing
about with the drivers and reinstalling/ replacing them the boxed cursor
problem went away. What's curious was with i1Match the profiles created at a
gamma of 1.8 worked meanwhile at 2.2 (or Windows) created the box. Since
nothing else was changed except the drivers we could expect them rather than
the profilers, profiles, or Colorsync.
