We moved our ColorSync 3.04 profiles under Mac OS 9.2.1 to
/ System / Library / ColorSync / Profiles
because Mac OS X refuses any changes in this path.
You can add profiles without doing that. There are three folders for
storing profiles, which follows the general MacOS X strategy of storing
prefs and extensions in three locations...System, Library, and User.
/System/Library/ColorSync Profiles/
This is admin only permission, meaning you have to be logged in as the
user "admin" to make changes. All users see profiles stored here.
/Library/ColorSync Profiles/
All users can add or remove profiles here, and all users can see them.
This is most likely where you should add your profiles.
~/Library/ColorSync Profiles/
Each user's home directory has a folder for profiles too. Only viewable
and changeable by each user, so I can see my profiles stored here, but
if you log on to my machine, you wouldn't see them.
