I already understood this; I guess what I missed is that I thought Ekta and
ProPhoto were device-specific profiles of film, not abstracted workspaces
proper, so I didn't understand where one would apply them, since film always
needs to be scanned in with another device.
I realize that Ekta and ProPhotoRGB are probably gray balanced and
perceptually uniform and better editing spaces than a scanner profile; but
why not use an existing workspace? Do you see my confusion?
