Good morning/evening or whatever's right where you may be.
I've run into a weird problem with the Distiller 5.0 color settings on my
PowerBook Ti/400 that I can figure out. I can't access the color settings at
all in Distiller 5.0. I can see the settings in Acrobat 5.0 preferences
though.
I pick a job option, open the Settings menu > Job options, click the color
tab, but the Color Settings (where you usually pick a color setting or None)
is blank, and all the individual settings are greyed out. If I change the
job option, and try again, I still can't access the files, but I can see
them change.
I've installed the application on another Mac (G4 v8) and everything works
fine there.
Now one more thing is weird though:
If I choose the job option called "screen", on the machine where everything
works, Colormanagement policies defaults to : "Convert to sRGB".
If I choose the same option on the PowerBook (where I can't access the
individual settings file), and open the Settings > Job options > Color tab,
that same setting, Colormanagement Policies, defaults to "Convert to
CalRGB"...
So I've trashed all my previous Acrobat stuff (as in everything I could
find, Distiller, Acrobat, Acrobat reader, all previous versions, all
preferences and extension containing anything related to Acrobat or
Distiller, even the "Adobe Application Database" file for good measure),
I've rebuilt the desktop, reinstalled 5-6 times, but to no avail.
I'm all open to good ideas, on what might be wrong, if there are any
takers...
Thanks in advance
