As a previous owner of several PressViews, I would strongly recommend
AGAINST buying a close-out PressView. The results achievable with one of
the newer monitors and a third party meter are visually superior, far,
far, far less problematic than the unsupported PressView, and are much
more flexible in how they can calibrate the display. But then again, you
didn't say HOW cheap the PressView was, or if it was an XL or not.
The newer monitors are brighter, can be calibrated to a more reasonable
D65, and will have a much longer usable life than the PressView. At
least if you do decide on the PressView, forget their puck and add one of
the newer calibration packages.
