1. Does anyone know what CMM is used inside Prinergy 2.0 for color
conversion and if it's changeable?
It's a safe bet the HDM CMM is used. And it's a safe bet the version
is higher than the one in ColorSync 2.5 and lower than the version in
Newcolor 7 v2.
2. Is it possible to use devicelink-profiles in Prinergy 2.0?
Don't know, but wouldn't think so. Device link profiles are not
hailed by the European vendors. This has to do with the way that
device link profiles are hard to fit into a real world workflow.
Remember that in a PDF 1.3 you may have any mix of calRGB, calGray,
Lab, deviceRGB, deviceCMYK, deviceGray and ICCBased RGB, Gray and
CMYK.
A device link profile takes all RGB objects to say CMYK, or all CMYK
objects to proof CMYK. This means that you must use multiple device
link profiles one for each color model for any averagely confused
production PDF.
The way to do things is to use a color server to harmonize your color
spaces before things go into the layout, and then run a PDF workflow
from there out. In that case you can use a device link profile. But
then you don't need it.
You can read more about device link profiles in the iQueue on-line manual.
Hope this helps
