It definitly does not demonstarte the full gamut of Ektachome film
and I know at least two manufacturers (incl. myself) producing
much larger gamuts (without any special handling at the lab!). I
would be very carefull with RGB primaries based on the orig. Kodak
targets for RGB color spaces.
I always wondered why Kodak is not demonstrating the full gamut
of the Ektrachrome film on their target as required by the IT 8.7
standard. I can only think of two reasons why their target is
showing just a smaller part of the whole Ektachrome gamut.
Anybody with some background knowledge?
This is actualy one of the two things I wonder why Kodak hasn't
done them according to the sense of the IT 8.7 standard in their
targets. Otherwise they seem to do a good job.
