In attempting to set up ColorSync on my system, I've hit a snag that has
caused immense frustration & time loss. It boils down to an error message I
get when I set my Epson 850 to print using ColorSync correction, and it
tells me the profile is damaged and to re-install the printer driver. Of
course, that doesn't work! I have lots of different Epson profiles and all
my applications are now set to use them, but the printer won't recognize
anything but its built-in "Epson Standard Profile" (ie. the one that causes
the error message)., which is an old 2.0 version. I've tried to force it to
give me a choice of other profiles, but no dice - the profile popup menu
only shows that one. I'm also wondering, what's the use of having all these
different printer profiles for printing on different paper and at different
resolutions, when the printer driver won't read any of them???
As you will have recognized, I'm a newbie, both on lists and color
correction. Is there a simple answer out there? I can't find anything at
Epson or Apple's websites.
