For me;
I keep and save the "raw" capture in its space -
I do a "save as" to Adobe space -
I play a bit and do
a "save as" to my CMYK space
I finish the file and save as the final .tif or .eps-

when your original file hits photoshop
you can
" Assign Profile "
if your tag is not correct

if you tag the file with your camera tag
then that is your imput profile

but
do convert to Adobe RGB 1998 for the working file
