I would say the idea is that Apple should get OS X shipshape, because
LinoColor Full Version always required multi-tasking and always had
problems getting that out of the Mac OS in its past non-multitasking
versions. I don't know if you have ever used a scanner software that
lets you do many things at the same time, only to find that every now
and then the OS suffers cardiac arrest, and you loose ganged and
queued jobs.
I was waiting for OS X with some hope, but the version I tried on a
G4 recently froze stiff at the sight and sound and smell of InDesign,
Word and anything else I politely asked it to run. It didn't just
freeze the application, it froze everything and required a restart
-:).
The other side of this is that of the two industrial strength ICC
tool sets, the pulse beat is strong for one and barely audible for
the other. The past fifteen years have shown that tool sets which
turn their backs on the desk top simply do not survive. The
evangelism and activism is still coming out of one group and not the
other, the way it has been all along.
