I believe this has been gone over several times, in others if not on
this list, and I can recapitulate my experience as follows: (1)
sandpaper results from C, M and K dots in the highlights; (2) driving an
ink machine as an RGB device is shooting yourself in the foot, and (3)
the combination of CMYK (or CMYKOG, but never CcMmYK) printer profiles
made with full control over black generation, and a PostScript RIP with
adequate user control over the use of Light versus Full Cyan and
Magenta, will give you the best of both worlds.

I realize this, like the above, is a quote and not Henrik's opinion. For
mine, see above. (And my opinion extends to self-professed CMYK profiles
that are nothing more than glorified RGB profiles in disguise.)
