I'd say you are doing everything right. But not every workflow software
will be ready for your RGB to CMYK wishes - wich is why - in my oppinion -
you'll need to select your vendors more carefully, asking them to prove
that they can deliver the quality. Ask them which RIPs/printers they use,
and maybe get back on the forum and ask for help.
Your vendors should really be the ones, to know about this - but that is,
sad to say, not always the case, irl... So if you want this workflow to...
work - you must do it the hard way.
