What version of Photoshop are you using? If it is 5.xx then you must quit
Photoshop and re-launch it to see the profile. If you are using 6.0 the
profile should update immediately.
As for using the CMYK target. I use an 870, the cousin of the 1270. On my
computer and in my workflow I have to use the RGB target because the Epson
driver will convert any file (such as a CMYK image) to RGB. And I get real
good results.
