Colour scientists on the list can correct me if I'm wrong, but:
The phenomenon of colour constancy invokes the 'idea' or 'illusion' that
coca-cola red is allways the same. Wich it obviously isn't, because
every time it's viewed in different lighting conditions.
However, Coca-cola co. goes to great lengths to ensure coca-cola red is
allways the same colour IF MEASURED. Point being: our eyes are no
measuring devices. I don't think you should mix 'stupid' instruments
with our vision system.
