Yes ... a very important point, and an extra step I left out of my
response. Terry's implication is, of course, to send the RGB data to the
printer "as is", and his method describes one procedure. Regardless of the
document space, AdobeRGB or 'not managed', selecting "same as source"
instructs to not change the RGB values.
I do have to admit being a bit confused by the instructions for Profiler
RGB, which implies no strict adherence to the working space. When you open
the "print" image it is embedded with AdobeRGB, but there are no clear
instructions for any case other than AdobeRGB. For example, do you convert
to your preferred working space, and then choose "same as source"??? I
believe this would be a wrong step ... the working space conversion would
change the RGB values, and different values would be sent to the printer.
Maybe it would have been better to embed no profile with instructions for
'assigning' your preferred color space ... but this would have been a bit
misleading too ... implying any color space would make a difference when you
chosse "same as source" when printing.
