In the preferences window of nikonscan (v3.1.3) I've selected Adobe
>
RGB (1998) under the RGB tab, yet all my scans are tagged " Nikon
>
Adobe RGB 4.0.0.3000 ".
My guess is the internal name of the profile in question is actually Adobe
RGB (1998). ICC profiles are sneaky that way. They have both an internal
and external name, and often they are not the same. Steve Upton's excellent
ColorThink software does a name parity test and will allow you to fix these
discrepancies. I think there's also a script available that will change the
internal name to the external name (if it is different).
You've probably got nothing to worry about. I've noticed this same behavior
with files coming off of a D1X that were supposedly tagged with Adobe RGB
(1998). Why Nikon feels the need to add their moniker to it is beyond me.
