Hi Marcelo,
One of the nice things about ICC color management is that it is very
flexible. You can basically use any color ink that you would like and the
system would still work. Here's why...
When we print a target - or series of color patches - we are not really
expecting the colors to appear a certain way. The colors of the particular
inks you are using will cause the color patches on the target to have a
certain color character. It is this color character that is measured and
used to build an ICC profile. In other words, we are assembling a table from
real color (some call it device-independent color) to device data. This
table describes how to create data for the device (r-g-bees or c-m-y-kays)
so that what comes out of the printer is the color you expect.
Long story short: different ink colors - no problem.
MonacoPROFILER will deliver the same high-quality results using this type of
configuration as it would using a more "standard" ink set. Please let me
