Has anybody had any success using the EPSON StylusColor 1520 as an accurate
color proofing device?
If so, how did you do it? My Epson 1520 has an Ethernet card, and is
PostScript-enabled. I can print to it with either through the EPSON driver
(SC 1520(AT)), or through the Epson Stylus RIP software, accessed via the
AdobePS driver.
I also have access to a Spectroscan measurement device and ProfileMaker 4
software. I have experience in setting up - successfully - a DuPont Cromalin
Color Station at my place of work, but I have failed miserably so far trying
to create profiles for the StylusColor 1520 from test charts (CMYK and RGB)
provided by Gretag Macbeth in the ProfileMaker package.
Is there a way to achieve viable color proofing results with this device and
with these instruments?
