No, you probably don't need to use Target Optimization when profiling a
properly linearized press. Target Optimization is not technically
linearization either; it is used to adjust the full target patches slightly,
before printing, so as to produce more evenly spaced measurements in CIE-Lab
space. More evenly spaced measurements help in the calculation of profile
lookup tables.
Also, as far as Black generation settings go, use the project default
settings which are Medium Black and 310 total ink limit.
