While that may be true for you and your particular problem, it wastes
bandwidth for most everyone else on this list. Technical support groups
within companies have specific skills and knowledge relating to their own
products, and are generally better equipped to solve problems relating to
these products.
My personal opinion on this general subject is that if you have a support
problem with a product, give the vendor a chance first. A posting to this
list would only be appropriate if:
a) You felt that the solution you obtained from the vendor was unique and of
general interest, so maybe other ColorSync folks might be interested in it
also.
b) The vendor was either unresponsive or unable to solve the problem. Then
this list might be an appropriate place to ask.
I didn't mean to pick on anyone in particular (sorry, Daniel). I'm just not
interested in wading through a bunch of individual tech support cases.
