I've totally given up on the Best RIP on the Mac. I guess you do need a PC
to get it to work! I've sent samples to them asking why on earth it doesn't
even come close to matching my contract proof despite custom profiles for
all devices. Tech support hasn't been anything to write home about.
The Mac version of the ColorByte RIP is visually messy (no more than Best)
but the output is out of this world. But I have to try doing cross rendering
with it (it has all the controls to do this, just haven't tried it yet).
Maybe this week. If this RIP can cross simulate as well as it prints dead
nuts neutral B&W prints, it will be a winner. An not ONE button or dialog
pops up in German!
