The should not. It's possible you don't have all the setting in sync. Under
OSX, there are different settings so to speak. I've taken profiles and run
them under both OS's and produce identical results. So forgive me for
suggesting it's user error somewhere....

A profile just contains data. With the exception of monitor profiles
that contain vcgt tags, there's simply no way for a profile to be
responsible for different behaviors on different OSs. You need to
look elsewhere.
