I also hope the "tough love" worked, as I'm now running OSX it'll be great
to not have to keep starting up Classic...
I'd just like to clarify the names of the software we're discussing, as I
think the original email from Eric was asking about the scanning software.
FFEI has software called "ColourKit" which either runs their flatbed
scanners or as a stand-alone. It has two applications within it, called
"Manager", which drives the scanner and queue, and "Editor", which runs the
editing features. It was this suite I was talking about in my first email.
Completely separate from the scanner software, FFEI also has two
profile-making software applications, the full version "ColourKit
ProfileMaker" which makes Input, Monitor and Output profiles, and "ColourKit
Scanner ProfileMaker", which makes Input and Monitor profiles, but is only
available with certain scanner bundles (please bear in mind the availability
may be different in different countries).
I think it is the CK ProfileMaker application that was tested in the
"shoot-out", not the scanning software - but please correct me if I'm wrong!
The naming IS a little confusing, but hopefully this has provided some
clarification for Eric and the others on the list.
Cheers,
Linda
