This rather begs the issue of that a profile is for. We use instruments to
assist in making more accurate profiles; but the goal of an output profile is
to produce visually excellent output. Shouldn't the ultimate test be visually
excellent output? Otherwise we are confirming numbers with numbers for
number's sake. Such instrumental confirmation certainly has a place in the
process, but at some point we have to start using our eyes and our
judgement...
