I have had the same problems with 2.5.3.
It was not until I installed version 3.1.0 of EversmartScan that the profiles were imbedded and files tagged as such.
I have not runned Oxygen 1.0.1, but it is likely to have the same bug. Try installing at least version 1.1.0.
Scanning in ICC mode is great. With a custom profile (the generic Eversmart profiles are not perfect), you get
calibrated WISIWYG scans each time. Remember to check the ICC options in the menu bar as well.
