For as long as I have been tinkering with colour management (in my spare

Lyson Fotonic Inks I've been using for some time now.
I've found that the best paper for photographic quality in a 1200 with
Lysonic ink is Hammermill Jet Photo Premium Glossy. I don't know how stable
it is, though, but prints made over a year ago show no change, and there's
virtually no puddling of the black ink. The Ilford glossy I tried (not the
new one) exhibited moderate blotchiness and bronzing.
The prints I made with the above combination when compared to LightJet
prints were indistinguishible. This printer is really nice. The prints I
do with Generations ink on Royal Plush paper are also excellent, even better
than Iris prints, and with archival stabiity.
Another nice looking paper is Red River's Premium Gloss, available in
various weights. It's more like fiber base photographic paper, but I don't
know if it's microporous or swellable polymer (or cast coated), so I don't
know its long term stability. So far I'm encouraged, but I'm result
oriented much more that stability oriented as Henry Wilhelm is.
I just wish I could find bulk Lysonic E ink (6 color) to use in a CIS. If
anybody knows of a source, let me know.
