Hi Guys
I've encountered a weird problem lately that I can't figure out.
I work on a file in Photoshop 6.01 (MacOS 9.2.1) and convert it to a Custom
CMYK profile (the same thing happens with Euroscale Coated v2 though). Then
I send this file to another user who is on Photoshop 5 (MacOS 9.01) along
with the profile.
He installs the CMYK profile and sets it up as his CMYK working space
profile in Photoshop 5.
When he opens the image he gets a profile mismatch (naming the correct
profile as the one being embedded) even though the correct profile is chosen
in his color settings > CMYK setup. If I re-open the same file in Photoshop
6 no problem. If I save the image out of Photoshop 5 with the CMYK profile
embedded PS6 will open it without warning.
We've seen the same think happen on machines where Photoshop 5 + 6 were both
installed on the same system. And we have tried to run Profile First Aid.
Basically I don't get it, so any good ideas would be most welcome.
Best regards
