It's bad! That's why Photoshop 6 is good. You have a calibrated display,
good, accurate profiles and the ability to soft proof using the best image
editor on the planet (and the most accurate for viewing images). Why convert
using a product that doesn't give you any options and doesn't proof to the
screen correctly (like giving you two options for rendering to the screen
thanks to the custom Proof setups). You also get ACE CMM.
I'm not saying everyone should use Photoshop 6 to convert files. I realize
that from a workflow perspective, that's not possible for a lot of people.
What I am saying is if you want the MOST control over conversions and
rendering intents, use Photoshop 6.
