Hi all,
please help me with this strange thing.
Photoshop 6.01 shows the following in the Info-palette: 255-255-255 (current
RGB) / 1-0-1-0 (precalculated CMYK). This is bad, because I don't want any
ink in these areas.
But, "Convert to profile" results in 0-0-0-0 (CMYK)! Any ideas why the
precalculated 1-0-1-0 results in 0-0-0-0?
-----
PS6 colorpref:
CMYK: My custom CMYK profile
Engine: Adobe ACE / Apple CMM (same result)
Intent: Relative col. with or without BPC (same result)
Perceptual intent previews 0-0-0-0 and produce 0-0-0-0, as expected.
-----
I did a test with DuPont Color Scientist 1.31b:
Best Mode / Relative col. / Apple CMM
255-255-255 -> 0,518807-0,228885-0,334173-0,000000
Draft Mode / Relative col. / Apple CMM
255-255-255 -> 0,611887-0,285344-0,376898-0,000000
Roughly: 255-255-255 -> 1-0-0-0
Is this an evidence proving that the profile is failing and not PS6?
How can I correct the profile?
