Na, why hose the data? Hose (alter) the Working Space. Pick a standard space
that produces the best over all results visually. THEN open the Custom
settings for the RGB Working Space and alter the gamma, white point and
chromaticity values while viewing the file (untagged) in the background. A
Macbeth or something with decent "known" or memory values is a good idea.
When done, name the NEW working space (Tobie's camera), then save out a NEW
ICC profile to assign to the untagged image from then on.
There's a step by step tutorial on how to do this at www.digitaldog.net and
www.imaginginsider.com
Oh, if you have a profile editor that can edit input profiles, you can
really tweak this "custom" camera profile.
