We're not talking the same language. There is no such thing as

an ink which is "illumination dependent", unless it is photosensitive.
This statement about photosensitivity reminded me of a test I ran a few
years back on an Epson 5000. When printing to the Dupont Commercial Mat
proofing paper the image would come off the printer very yellow compared to
what I expected from my corrections. After about 15 minutes under the light
booth it had appeared to stabilize. The print appeared to match the
reference matchprint I had placed next to it within my personal acceptable
limits. One evening I left work and left the print up on the board next to
the matchprint. All lights were turned off and the back room was very dark.
When I returned in the morning and turned the light on, I was surprised to
see the Epson 5000 print to be very yellow compared to the matchprint. I
walked away thinking someone was playing a joke on me. After returning about
15 or 20 minutes later, they once again matched. After learning that noone
had touched anything I concluded that the light must have effected the
image. So I conducted a test. I printed out a neutral gray square and placed
a book over half of it, leaving it under a light booth. After a full 8 hour
day I removed the book and sure enough I saw a line right down the middle
with the covered side being clearly more yellow. I watched it closely and
over the next 5 - 10 minutes it began to blend with the side that was always
lit. As a side note, I never saw this behavior on the 5500, 7500, or 10000.
Just something to keep in mind when measuring color off a dye based printer.
