Hello everyone...
I've been reading about the nubs, and I just have to add my disapoinments.
The one and only reason I recently decided to switch to Epson, was the six
color cartridge that is supposed to help with midtones in people's faces. My
HP 932 Photo Quality Printer has high contrast. Dark reds. Bad midtones. Hard
or no gradients in highlights and shadows, etc...
But this Epson 820 is a nightmare of a different kind.
I cannot get it to finish printing one photo that is only 5 x 8 inch with
about a 800K file size, even though my computer has 320 MB physical RAM,
virtual memory on, HP software all trashed, memory use of all Epson software
and programs increased.
It just stops printing and spits out the paper giving a different message
every time, usually paper jam. But each time I have tried to print there has
been only one sheet of photo paper in the printer, which came with the
printer, and the portion that does print is very even, so itbs not going
through crooked and jamming.
I even tried uninstalling and trashing all the Epson software, rebuilding the
desktop and starting over...
Anyway...
It does print Word Documents, but not until an incredibly long and noisy song
and dance that seems ridiculous.
The HP 932 at least prints quickly, quietly, and reliably, every single time
(except for face colors), so I have decided to return my Epson 820 for a
refund, and I may even try a newer HP printer until I can buy a much more
expensive Epson.
Thanks
