Because of the dwindling market for input devices made for Heidelberg , they
ceased to develop further hardware. News , good news, is they plan to
support the software for years to come. Which scanners or version wouldn't
be clear though until an official announcement from them. The full suite of
ColorOpen has been OsX compatible for a long time, and the application port
of Linocolor to Unix was well into cycle so we're told. It could be just a
matter of sweeping the dust before presenting the OsX versions. If we can
have the advantages of Newcolor 7000 on OsX then this will be the 'must
have' update.
There is info on my site on scanning negs with Linocolor that will change
radically if and when the OsX version comes out.
