Hi, can anyone tell me how to do create a profile from large format
backlit inkjet media? Any special spectrophotometer? Special software

special setting?
(...some look virtually the same with the lights on and off, others vary
enormously), which side you print on, etc. I generally get better
results when profiling as reflective media on the side the ink is on...
Pretty much my approach as well; didn't want to shell out the extra $$
to get my DTP41 upgraded to a T model & don't think all the relevant
variables can be adequately accounted for ahead of time either.
You can spec 50000 flourescent tubes on 24" centers all you want but
when your client goes to Discount World & picks up twin-tube shoplights
(lamps included) for $14.99 & then hangs them in midair 4' apart &
behind your backlits, which are displayed in a south-facing retail
window, you have to go with the flow.
Make it look good on your proofing lightbox & then stipulate that
anything else may look different.
