original message>I am a photographer, recently purchased an Imacon scanner
to scan for other
photogs. & a few corporate clients.
I currently use the Epson 1280 for proofing and the Epson 2000P to print my
work for Art Shows. I also print for a few Artists doing Watercolor &or
Oils.
I am considering the purchase of a larger printer to output up to 44".
I have seen the Epson 10,000 at PhotoPlus Expo & have had output done on a
Roland for a client. I know the Metamarism problem is going to be my biggest
issue, or at least I believe it will be...
Any thoughts and info would be greatly appreciated...

Reply> Save your money and purchase the Epson 9600. It is beautiful and you
will be able to take advantage of Epson's new 7 color Ultra-Chrome inks for
$ 4995.00 Take your wife to Tahiti with the extra 5 grand that you will
save! Epson also has a six color photographic dye ink set for the 9600 that
is impressive. Have your local rep show you print samples from both dye
sets. You will be impressed. P.S. Do you have a problem with your 2000P with
color shift? Tim Stahl, APA/SD V.P.
