We've got a 17" Quatographics monitor in our studio. Although the company (based in
Braunschweig, Germany) claims to be quite high-tech in terms of colour precision,
the monitor is a total disaster. It is a lower-end model, true, but we had ours
replaced instantly after purchase because of heavy reddish spots on both sides of
the screen - i.e. very poor magnetic shielding. The next one went crazy after 9
months - some tranzistors had to be replaced (it was still in warranty, thank God).
And it keeps developing red spots as well - although the Apple Studio Display next
to it had no problem in nearly 3 years.

The 19" model is a bit better, and I have never seen their "Color Station" display,
selling at some $5K.

Just my experience with Quato.

Good luck:

Boris
