I I have a customer that is using the Epson 10K Pigment printer. I
have set up a Backlit Queue using a glossy profile and adding a .vcc
curve in Bestcolor printing at 720 x 720. They are using the Epson
Backlit media/film. Colour is great, but in some colours, reds
mainly, the ink is crackling after about 20 minutes. We have spoken
to Epson, they have tested the media and ink and cannot replicate the
problem, via the Epson driver. They say it has something to do with
the Best RIP. I am stumped. Has anyone ever seen this?
It looks like the ink is shrinking as it drys and we end up with tons
of tiny cracks in the ink.
If I lower the ink in the total ink it looks faded.
I need help!
