EPSON Proofing Paper Commercial Semimatte
If it's the same as the Dupont/Epson stuff, I had a recent "bout" with this
paper and an Epson 5500. Just didn't work at all on a 5500/BestRIP combo
(severe lack of density). Since the box said something like "Works great
with an Epson 5000!", I take that to mean it ONLY works with dye ink
printers and NOT pigment inks. Paper is the key, the only downside is, you
won't know for sure if the paper works until you try it.
I'm finding that if the profile from the paper doesn't produce a minimum L
value of 10 or less, it's not going to be suitable for commercial offset
proofing.
Just my $.02
